Hey, I’m Paresh Vekaria, holding BHSc degree from Auckland University. It has been almost a year I’ve been enjoying working with peoplemax team especially the Director and the Manager. I say this because they are very cooperative and have always been helpful in every situation. Most of all, it is my honour to work for Peoplemax to serve the Aucklanders’ and actually feel proud being an ambassador for Peoplemax particularly when working for Auckland transport Projects. These projects involve interaction with passengers who have questions regarding transport matters or rather informing them about various changes.
I am Jaskaran Singh Sahani currently doing Graduate Diploma in Business( Accounting) from AUT University. I started working with Peoplemax during the Rugby World Cup. Working for Peoplemax has been a breath of fresh air for me and I have immensely enjoyed the work. I got to visit a lot of places in Auckland and as this is my first time in New Zealand it was a good opportunity to see a lot of places. The work schedule is not very hectic and I had the opportunity to interact with a lot of people. Another reason that I like working for Peoplemax is that all the staff members are very friendly and approachable.
I’m Simon Bengtsson from Sweden and have been working part time at PeopleMax now for about 5 months. The best thing for me has been the very flexible working hours. I work fulltime as a web developer/marketer at a start-up company where it is very much to do some weeks and sometimes enough free time to take some shifts here. The tasks are always different from time to time so you always look forward to your shift. My favourite shifts are those working with Auckland Transport. It’s interesting to get an insight in how they control and organize all the public transport in a big city like Auckland. I must also say that I’m impressed by how Anthony and especially Natalie in the management team makes sure everything is working and seems to keep track of all us ambassadors despite that I know there is quite a few of us now.
“I have done my Bachelors in Engineering (Civil) in India, 2009 and Business Management in New Zealand, graduated in September, 2011. I’ve been working with PeopleMax since October, 2011 during the start of RWC. I choose to work with PeopleMax as it provides total flexibility and work the shifts on your availability. PeopleMax works for the people, which I like the most and also the team at PeopleMax is very active, fast and Fun-filling. Natalie provides the best support to the PeopleMax team as she is always ready to solve the queries and I thank a lot to her for giving me an opportunity to work with a great and outstanding Team”.
“My name’s Hemanth Nair, and I’ve worked for PeopleMax for about four months, starting with the Rugby World Cup Auckland Transport Project in late 2011. As a student, finding work that fits in around academic commitments is really tricky, so I’m grateful for the flexibility that PeopleMax offers. The opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people, both among your fellow ambassadors and with members of the public is definitely one of the best aspects of the job. You’re kept constantly on your toes, as no two people will need assistance with exactly the same thing. The opportunity to give feedback on how well a job went is also a great part of working for PeopleMax, as they are extremely responsive, and take your feedback on board each time”.
“Hi I’m Tina; I’m an international student from India, pursuing an NZIM Business Management diploma here in Auckland. I have worked with PeopleMax since March, 2011 till date. I feel proud to have the opportunity to assist people and play an active role in the improvement of Auckland’s urban facilities. I enjoy having the flexibility to choose my hours of work, having plenty of job variety and being compensated for it all, not only adequately but also punctually. I cherish the multicultural team’s cohesion, cooperation and camaraderie, even in high pressure circumstances that teach all of us to improve our human, negotiation, conflict diffusion and managerial skills. It is no secret that the efficient management and quality control of people-focused projects, ranging from localised mail drops to city-wide events like the Rugby World Cup, is a highly challenging and demanding task with potential risks, flashpoints and bottlenecks. When the team is multicultural with a huge age range, the challenge of ensuring uniform service and training to universal standards multiplies. While Anthony uses humour and empowerment to motivate the team, often going out of his way to assist team members with personal challenges, Natalie ensures that the rostering, rules, timeframes and payroll processes are firmly adhered to, keeping the ball rolling through various channels of communication. Between them, they keep the team both motivated and quality conscious, smooth out individual and group challenges, and see that the client’s requirements are fully and professionally met”.
“My name is Josephine Ormsby and I am 19 years old. I am now in my third year at the University of Auckland studying towards a Bachelors of Commerce double-majoring in Marketing and Management. I have been working for PeopleMax for approximately 4 – 5 months now and have enjoyed myself while doing so. I am working as a casual worker for and have found this to be really convenient. This is because it means I can pick certain projects that suit my timetable. I’m always busy with my family, or uni, or friends, and so on so having the freedom to choose which projects I want to work is great. I live out South, so to get to uni I catch Public Transport, I like to think that I know my way around Auckland via. public transport which is why I like working on Auckland Transport Projects. Sometimes while working on these specific projects I get the opportunity to meet new people, which suits my personality fine, as I’m quite an out there person who likes to talk and meet others. It has been a pleasure working with Anthony and Natalie in terms of projects and contractors work and so on. The constant e-mails about upcoming projects are great! Personally, working for PeopleMax has actually been quite fun for me to be honest, and looking forward to continuing to work for them”.
“I’ve worked at PeopleMax for four months, I like working at PeopleMax because the work is quite different. I like working on the Auckland Transport because I know a lot about public transport so puts it to good use. I find Anthony and Natalie very friendly to work with; they manage the projects quite well”.
“My name is Ken Wright, I am retired and I work as an Ambassador for People Max.
I have worked for PeopleMax Since August 2011.I like the field work, flexibility of hours, variation of locations, the tasks required to be done and interaction with the public.I get a great deal of satisfaction working the projects we are asked to carry out. I consider it is worthwhile and indeed necessary advising the public of transport changes and all other aspects of the work. Even when not working directly with the public such as on passenger surveys it is good to know that the end result will be a better service. Many jobs have no discernable effect so it is gratifying to work in an area where there is a definite and tangible outcome. I have had extensive management experience in both the Public and Private sectors and I am impressed with the way both Anthony and Natalie operate. Natalie is my immediate point of contact, she carries a very high workload which she copes with very well and is a very skilled and competent operator. Her computer abilities are exceptional. I can only wish that when I employed staff I had more on the payroll with the commitment and loyalty exhibited by her. In my view her total devotion to Auckland Transport and the task at hand as a contractor are of the highest order. If on occasion we as Ambassadors might not get it completely right she never hesitates to explain how she wants it done. Her standards are high. I could not wish for a better job or people to work with”.
“My name is Sarah Fleming i have been very happy working for Peoplemax, their reputation is strong and trusting. I would highly recommend working for People Max. I love working with Natalie and Anthony they are great at communicating and always treat you with great respect they manage very well. I have worked for Peoplemax for a while since the beginning of October and am very grateful that i work for them. It is really enjoyable working on Auckland Transport projects as i love helping people and get to meet all sort of different cultures and people”.
