PeopleMax assists passengers for the Pavarotti concert.Date: 14 November 2005 On Saturday, 12/11/05, a Pavarotti concert was held at North Harbour Stadium. Because of very large crowd numbers and unexpected delays, four of our Ambassadors stayed on past their rostered shifts to help out.During this time the Ambassadors tried to keep a positive atmosphere by telling jokes and making conversation. The ambassadors were a communication medium between the drivers and commuters. Organizationally, the ambassadors also assisted by helping to direct buses, and were even able to get a Richies bus not assigned to dropping people off at the stadium to do so, which relieved a lot of pressure.
The ambassadors went home at 8:30pm, one and a half hours after they were rostered on till. While the delays annoyed many passengers, our ambassadors were invaluable both communication-wise, but also organizationally. Thanks very much to Nick, Herbert, Vipun, and Akshay.
