International Sale Promotion
Ten promoters, representing five different ethnicities were commissioned to promote the Air NZ International Sale. These ethnicities included Australian, American, Japanese, Chinese, and Tongan. Each ethnicity was represented by a male and a female, both wearing stereotypical attire for that culture. They also had culture-specific gifts to hand out.
This was the perfect challenge for People Max®. It gave us the chance to showcase our diverse and friendly work force. The logistical challenge of organising people, and the need to change our brief depending on external circumstances (such as weather and moving where the public was) was perfect for People Max®. Our supervisor was onsite the for the whole project, and coordinated the promotional workers' movements. He also coordinated the meeting place before the shift and distributed the uniforms and gifts to the workers. Throughout the shift the supervisor also ensured the workers were fully stocked with gifts. These are some of the many hidden tasks and costs involved in this kind of work. The project was a great success, and our promoters had hundreds of high quality interactions. Our client had specific requests regarding how many gifts each member of the public could be given, and the amount of gifts and brochures we had for each shift. Our promotional team and supervisor were able to follow these instructions and deliver high quality service, while at the same time being open to last minute changes and instructions. A big thank you to our enthusiastic promotional team; You did a great job! Our client told us that our goal was to put a smile on people’s faces... Mission accomplished!
